Urgent action needed to address hazardous waste crisis in PHL

The proper disposal and recycling of hazardous waste is a critical environmental issue that requires urgent attention from the government. The Federation of Philippine Industries (FPI) has rightly called on the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) to implement the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) scheme to include used lead acid batteries (ULABs) and other hazardous waste.
